Tweedride der Radlobby Melk zu einem besonderen Erlebnis.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Jung und Alt genossen die gemeinsame Ausfahrt durch die historische Barockstadt Melk, die mit dem Weltkulturerbe Stift Melk und ihren kurzen Wegen ideale Voraussetzungen f\u00fcr den Radverkehr bietet.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Den Auftakt bildete die Begr\u00fc\u00dfung im Pr\u00e4latenhof des Weltkulturerbes Stift Melk. Abt Ludwig begr\u00fc\u00dfte die Gruppe pers\u00f6nlich und erteilte den Segen f\u00fcr die gemeinsame Ausfahrt. Der Tweedride Melk ist der einzige Tag im Jahr, an dem das Radfahren im Stift Melk erlaubt ist.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Anschlie\u00df<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">end f\u00fchrte die rund einst\u00fcndige Ausfahrt durch die historische Altstadt, das Melker Cottage-Viertel und weiter bis zur Donau. Die kompakte Stadt mit ihren kurzen Wegen bot dabei eine abwechslungsreiche Kulisse. Mit H\u00fcten, Kleidern und Tweed sowie liebevoll geschm\u00fcckten historischen Fahrr\u00e4dern bot die Gruppe ein farbenfrohes Bild. Begleitet von Swing-Jazz der 1920er- und 1930er-Jahre wurde der Radcorso zum Blickfang f\u00fcr Passanten und G\u00e4ste der Stadt.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">F\u00fcr eine musikalische Pause sorgte eine Zwischenstation in einem Garten im Villenviertel. Dort bot ein Holzbl\u00e4serquintett der Stadtkapelle Melk einen schwungvollen musikalischen Rahmen. Die beschwingten Kl\u00e4nge passten perfekt zur stilvollen Atmosph\u00e4re des Tweedrides und sorgten bei den Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern f\u00fcr gute Stimmung.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201e<span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Der Tweedride ist ein Blickfang und zeigt auf charmante Weise, was im Alltag selbstverst\u00e4ndlich sein sollte: Das Fahrrad geh\u00f6rt zum Stadtbild und auf die Stra\u00dfe. Wer m\u00f6chte, dass mehr Menschen Rad fahren, muss ihnen daf\u00fcr auch sichere und attraktive Wege geben. Radverkehr ist keine Freizeiterscheinung, sondern Teil einer zeitgem\u00e4\u00dfen Mobilit\u00e4tspolitik\u201c<\/b>, betont Johannes Haselsteiner von der Radlobby Melk.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Nach der Ausfahrt lie\u00df die Gruppe den Nachmittag gem\u00fctlich in einem Gastgarten ausklingen. Der Tweedride findet in Melk bereits zum 13. Mal statt, ist der traditionsreichste Tweedride \u00d6sterreichs und verbindet Fahrradkultur, Stadtleben und das Anliegen, dem Radverkehr im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum mehr Platz zu geben.
