Beim <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wn24.at\/wirtschaft\/umbau-abgeschlossen-merkurcity-wiener-neustadt-eroeffnet-11516.html\" target=\"_blank\">55 Millionen Euro teuren Umbau<\/a> des Einkaufscenters\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.merkurcity.at\/\" target=\"_blank\">Merkurcity<\/a>\u00a0wurde <strong>auf die Radfahrenden schlichtweg vergessen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Dabei w\u00e4ren die Voraussetzungen sehr gut.\u00a0Die\u00a0Merkurcity\u00a0ist durch ihre Lage ein Nahversorger f\u00fcr die umliegenden Wohngebiete. Mit dem Fahrrad ist sie schnell erreichbar und auch gut an das Radwegenetz angebunden. Umso unverst\u00e4ndlicher ist es, dass diese Chance nicht genutzt wird. Die Zahl der Radfahrenden in Wiener Neustadt steigt. Geht man auf die Bed\u00fcrfnisse dieser wachsenden Zielgruppe nicht ein, hat das auch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmlfuw.gv.at\/umwelt\/luft-laerm-verkehr\/verkehr-laermschutz\/radfahren\/radfahrenueinkaufen.html\" target=\"_blank\">wirtschaftlich negative Folgen<\/a><\/em>&#8220;, so Hannes H\u00f6ller von der Radlobby Wiener Neustadt.<\/p>\n<h4>Radlobby schn\u00fcrte f\u00fcr\u00a0Merkurcity\u00a0ein Rad-Paket<\/h4>\n<p>Die Radlobby hat f\u00fcr die Merkurcity\u00a0im Vorfeld des Umbaus <strong>Ideen und Tipps zur Fahrrad-Infrastruktur<\/strong> in einem eigenen &#8220;Merkurcity\u00a0Rad-Paket&#8221; ausgearbeitet. H\u00f6ller: &#8220;<em>Wir waren mit dem Management und der Bauleitung in Kontakt und deshalb zuversichtlich, dass f\u00fcr RadfahrerInnen gute und sichere Bedingungen geschaffen werden. Nat\u00fcrlich kann man jetzt noch reagieren und die gr\u00f6bsten Vers\u00e4umnisse ausb\u00fcgeln &#8211; im Vorfeld w\u00e4re das aber einfacher und g\u00fcnstiger gewesen. Im zweiten Bauteil sollte man daraus lernen und sichere Radzufahrten und eine ausreichende Anzahl an \u00fcberdachten Radabstellpl\u00e4tzen anbieten.
