September 2016, im Pr\u00e4latenhof des Stiftes Melk ein illustres V\u00f6lkchen. Gelabt vom gastfreundlichen Stift stiegen die nobel gekleideten Damen und Herren auf ihre edlen alten Fahrr\u00e4dern und starteten beschwingt von Swingmusik im Big-Band-Sound. zum 3. Melker Tweedride \/ Radcorso durch die Melker Altstadt, zur Donau \u00fcber Abt-Karl-Stra\u00dfe und S\u00fcdspange bis zum Stadtparkfest in den Stadtpark.<\/p>\n<p>Mehr als f\u00fcnfzig schick nostalgisch gekleidete Radfahrerinnen und Radfahrer hatten sich zur Radparade eingefunden um gemeinsam zu zeigen: Radfahren macht sch\u00f6n! Und den Teilnehmern, \u00fcberwiegend aus Melk, aber auch aus Wien und Linz angereist, er\u00f6ffnete die gepflegt langsame Ausfahrt einen neuen Blick auf die sch\u00f6nen H\u00e4user der Altstadt und im Cottageviertel und machte bewusst: Melk hat Stil \u2013 und das genie\u00dft man am besten per Fahrrad. Es war ein Fest f\u00fcr die, die teilnahmen \u2013 und die schmucke Parade bezauberte auch alle, die zusahen. Viele von ihnen haben spontan ihre Teilnahme f\u00fcr das kommende Jahr angek\u00fcndigt.<\/p>\n<p><b><a Jahr 2009 zum ersten Mal in London durchgef\u00fchrte Fahrrad-Parade \u2013 Tweedride, auch Tweedrun &#8211; ist inzwischen eine weltweite Bewegung: Berlin, Budapest, London, New York, Paris, Sao Paulo, St.Petersburg, Stockholm, Sydney, Tokio, Wien \u2026. und seit 2014 auch Melk \u2013 keine Metropole, die etwas auf sich h\u00e4lt, ohne Tweedride!<\/p>\n<p>Ziel der internationalen Tweedride-Bewegung ist es, in eleganter, nostalgischer Kleidung (z.B. britisches Tweed!) auf (wenn vorhanden historischen) Fahrr\u00e4dern gem\u00fctlich, zu Swing-Musik, durch die Stadt zu flanieren,
